The Practice is open between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) with surgeries operating at various times between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm. We have a staff training afternoon every third Wednesday of the month and the surgery is closed from 1 pm onwards on those days.
When the practice is closed and in the case of an emergency please contact NHS 111 (dial 111).

We now offer an online appointment booking service. For those of you interested in this facility, please speak to reception for individual log-in details.  Once you have these, click here for the access page.

We have an appointment system for all surgeries. This practice has an individual lists system for our patients, which means that once you have been allocated a doctor, we shall always try and make sure that you see the same doctor whenever you request a routine appointment, except when he/she is on leave.  This system has almost universal approval of our patients, who see the continuity of care as a great bonus. Please be aware that you may need to book ahead to see a specific doctor.

In addition to face to face consultations we also offer telephone consultations and these can be requested through reception.

Although appointment times are specified, we cannot guarantee that you will be seen precisely at your appointment time. Please remember, an appointment is for one person only. Where another member of the family needs consultation, even for identical conditions, please make a separate appointment.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend for your appointment, so that we can offer your time slot to another patient.

GP Triaging Service

There has been a significant increase in demand for appointments and we have therefore introduced a GP triaging service.  This means that for patients who request to be seen on the same day or within the next couple of days, they will be offered a telephone call from a GP who will assess their need and make an appointment if this is required.  Patients being offered this service will need to be able to take the call and we would therefore suggest that they have their telephone to hand. Not all patients need to be seen in the practice and may therefore be offered a telephone consultation.

Routine Telephone Calls

Sometimes you might need to speak to a doctor rather than making an appointment, particularly if you just need some routine advice.  The doctors will normally respond to routine calls at the end of the morning surgery. Telephone calls received in the afternoon will be passed to the doctor at the earliest opportunity for them to deal with; however they may not always be able to respond on the same day. If possible please try to call during the morning.

Extended Hours

In addition to our normal surgery times, we are able to offer a limited number of appointments during Extended Hours.  These appointments are intended for those patients that would find it difficult to attend during our normal surgery times. In addition to Extended Hours, we are also able to offer a limited number of appointments outside of our normal surgery times during the day, for example at lunchtimes or early afternoon.  If you would like to make an appointment during our Extended Hours or at a time outside of our normal hours, then please advise the receptionist and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Home Visits

Please telephone the surgery before 11:00 am if you require a home visit. This should be regarded as a service for the genuinely housebound or seriously ill. Home visiting takes up a great deal of doctor time and we do ask patients to attend the surgery wherever possible. Doctors can normally see approximately four patients in the time it takes to visit one.

Test Results

If possible, please telephone after 2:30 pm for all results when the receptionist will have more time to deal with your call.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests over the telephone as errors can occur.

Prescription requests can be brought into the surgery at any time and left in the designated box at reception. If you wish to have your prescription posted to you please supply a stamped addressed envelope and allow extra time for postal delays.

Alternatively, you can fax your request to us on 0208 405 6039. The prescriptions will normally be available for collection within 48 hours.

We have an online prescription request service and those of you interested in this facility should contact reception for further information.  Once you have obtained the necessary details you can access the site by clicking here.
